GoSign alternative: free only with LT ID
GoSign is the e-signing service of the Centre of Registers (Registrų centras): free, but signing works only with LT ID, the ID card with a reader or a USB token, PDF only up to 6 MB, one document at a time, for yourself – not for a company's flow. Smart-ID is not listed among GoSign's signing methods. When a month brings dozens of documents, several people sign and deadlines need tracking, the limits of such a service show.
The comparison is based on public gosign.lt information and its FAQ section, checked on 2026-09-13 (sources at the bottom of the page). Tvarka Sign is not a free copy of GoSign – it is a working tool for a company, where you pay only for successful qualified electronic signature (QES) signings.

When to choose Tvarka Sign
- Your company signs daily or in stacks – batch signing saves hours.
- More than one person signs: the Manager grants access to the accountant or a representative, and each signs with their own means.
- Your clients sign with Smart-ID or Mobile-ID – they need no LT ID and no reader.
- You want documents kept in a tidy vault with history and archival PDF/A – not in a downloads folder.
- You have an ID card but do not want to carry a reader – you sign by tapping the card on your phone.
By the way, if you already have the USB reader you used, it works in Tvarka too – nothing new to buy.
How to switch from GoSign
- Download the signed PDFs from the GoSign vault. The signature is part of the file, so it stays valid without a GoSign account.
- Sign in to Tvarka with your electronic signature – the same LT ID, card or USB token you used in GoSign. The Manager grants access to the people who sign.
- Upload the signed PDFs to Tvarka Sign: the signatures are verified on upload, and the document can take further signatures.
- For personal use, get the Tvarka Sign app – 10 signatures a month with the card over NFC free, with no account.
Frequently asked questions
GoSign will not open a document or freezes – what to do?
The usual causes are incompatible browser plug-ins or card software, a password-protected PDF and files larger than 6 MB. If the document must be signed now, Smart-ID and Mobile-ID work in Tvarka with no extra equipment, and the same reader works for the ID card.
How to sign an ADOC without GoSign?
GoSign signs PDF only. Tvarka has an ADOC wizard: you upload the documents, the wizard builds an ADOC-V1.0 container, you sign with a qualified signature and download a file fit for the institution. One more signature can be added to an already signed ADOC.
Is a Tvarka Sign signature as valid as a GoSign signature?
Yes – in both cases it is a qualified electronic signature (QES) under the eIDAS Regulation, equivalent to a handwritten one. What differs is not the signature's legal force but the working tools around it.
